Yeah it's a Cutting Cafe' Giveaway!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers/grandmothers/and step-mothers!
I am excited to share with you today my "Just Add Coffee" cup card featuring The Cutting Cafe' files: Got Coffee? and Coffee Cup shaped card. Shaped cards are so fun to make and I always get compliments when I give one because it's not a standard rectangle.

I printed the coffee cup on pattern paper, cut it out, and inked the edges. I painted a chipboard letter with white paint and then punched an orange circle to back it on. I added orange trim, spelled "for" with tiny alphas, and placed rhinestones to jazz it up a bit. Finally I printed my sentiment on white cardstock, trimmed to size, punched a hole to make it a tag, and hung from handle.

The best part is you can win the Got Coffee set:
or the coffee cup template with matching envelope.

Just leave me a comment on this post and you will be entered to win! I will select two random winners on Saturday, May 15th and announce right here on my blog the names of the winners, so be sure to check back!

With Deepest Sympathy

No one wants to buy/make a sympathy card but it sadly occurs. It sent chills down my spine and caused tears when I heard of someone passing earlier this week. Without going into too much detail, one of my students lost a grandfather. The grandfather was extremely active in his grandchildren's lives. He brought them to school and attended functions we held. He was always jovial and caring. It was a sudden loss and is devastating to the family. I pray the love of God enfolds the family during their journey through grief. I made this card with much trepidation because I could not gather my mind to know what to create. I thought about it for a few days and last night I knew it was a necessity to complete, so I began.

Supplies: Bazzill swiss dot green and Wausau white cardstock, Scenic Route pattern paper, Cutting Cafe sentiment, Prima flowers, Wilton flower stamens, American Crafts button, DMC white floss, and ribbon from craft supply.
Card is based on Card Patterns sketch #62.

Peace, prayers, and blessings.

A Mother's Day card

Hey there! I am back with a Mother's Day card. I am determined to use what I have because my supplies are out of control. It's a terrible addiction wanting to buy new supplies every week. Ughh! The companies are pumping out fantastic new lines and I need them. I mean really need them. Or so I convinced myself. LOL! So tonight I sat down and pulled out a set my friend Pam sent me. It's the Chatterbox Artsy.licious line which is beautiful and how I never bought it I shall not know. It's shabby chic with elegance. Which seemed fitting for The Shabby Chic Tea Room challenge which is to find inspiration in this picture.

My inspiration: the quilt's stripes and florals.
I stitched a tad and distressed the edges with Sahara Sand ink to give a "homey" feeling. I sprayed the entire card with TA's Old Lace to give some glimmer.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Hello and I hope everyone is having a fabulous Saturday! Happy National Scrapbooking Day to you! I am going to work on a mini album for my Mom later today after my nephew's baseball game but wanted to share a card and a great deal with you right now!
First- The Cutting Cafe' is celebrating the day with a buy 1 get one free or BOGO deal! If you have been waiting to get that digital file, now's the time to do it! And there are no limits on the amount you can get! Wahoo! Sweet deal for all! I love the new All Occasion Banner printable stamp set. But hurry because the sale ends tonight at midnight PST.
And now for a card I made using the 2S4Y sketch. More Webster's Pages. I seem to be on a Webster's Pages love lately but that's fine by me. The paper is so unbelievably gorgeous and the quality is superb!
I rotated the sketch to create this:

The crochet flower is made by a friend, Jennifer Pingitore. I have been holding onto these beauties and am finally releasing one for this card. Thank you Jennifer!

Okay off to get a few errands done so I can create away tonight! Have a great day!

Happy Friday everyone!

Whew! I am back and slowly getting caught up with things. We had a layover in Atlanta which added a day on to our trip. I can't complain because it was God's will and we are home safe and sound from New Orleans. It's always a fun time when we go and listen to fabulous music and eat unbelievable food. We definitely got our fill of craw fish, pralines, and gumbo while there. I don't fix a lot of seafood in my house because of the smell and my DD does NOT like it at all. She is super sensitive to smells and noises, I believe it stems from Asperger's. Poor Simon and Christopher don't eat nearly as much seafood, but I do try and cook it occasionally.
So the first thing I did when I came back was hug my DD and asked her how her week had gone. It seemed like forever since I had seen her! 5 1/2 days is a long time. She wanted to compare our heights because she is right on the verge of the whooping 5'2 that I am. I love it! I hope she is taller than me!
Yesterday I squeezed in some crafting time between dinner and a bike ride with DD. I used Card Patterns sketch #61. I am heading back after this post to leave some love for the DT because they really did a phenomenal job with this sketch! Plus there are tons of talented card makers that submitted their idea as well!

I made a Mother's day card since it is quickly approaching. I am not sure it's my Mom's style though. She's very shabby chic and loves yellow and blue. Although, she is always complimentary of anything I make for her. ♥ Mom!

The pattern paper is Webster's Pages which I adore so, brown cardstock is Creatively-Green, 7 Gypsies stamp, Kaiser Craft pearls, EK Sucess scallop/embossed border punch, yellow and the floral flocked adhesive ribbon is
I stamped the "Mom" with Staz-On to the tiny Making Memories epoxy tag and tied with floss to a pearl stick pin and a little sheer bow beneath the Prima flower.

The picture looks really dark but the cardstock is a light pink and I distressed with Sepia ink. I am thinking I can't put off getting a new camera any longer. Maybe a Mother's Day gift for myself?

It's officially Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day everyone! Today Creatively-Green has a gigantic post with lots of inspiring ideas for you to repurpose or recycle common household items. So don't trash it, treasure it.
**** Plus there is a give a way of some new released lines!****
Here's a gift bag that I used some repurposed/recycled items on. The tulle came from flowers I received, the purple ribbon was from a gift a friend sent me, and the floral scrap stash flower is from Creatively-Green.

I wanted to share with you how cute this floral flower is:
I added a piece of Scenic Route pattern paper and spelled "enjoy" with some purple Thickers. Attached the flower and tied the tulle and ribbon to embellish.

Also Creatively-Green has a guest design team call. Check out the details here. Thanks for stopping by!
