Happy Easter!

Okay, I am a little early but wanted to share my Easter card with you today. I found this adorable vintage image at PeggyLovesVintage. You can go to her site and download the bunny and also enter her contest using this image. I used Card Pattern's #57 sketch for my card. I feel like I added tons to this card before stopping. I couldn't help myself. I need to learn to step away. For the background I used The Cutting Cafe' aqua polka dots .
Kinda in a hurry! Sorry more later!

Sunshine

We don't have sunshine here but should have lots of it by the end of the week. I thought I would make a cheery card with Spring colors to make me think of those warm sunny days.
I used K & Co. pattern paper, silver Stickles, and Darice rhinestones to make.
This card uses:
CPS sketch #160 - sketch
CharismaCardz "Spring had sprung" #12 challenge
Color Create's "Pastels with Spring influence"
Pollycraft's "Sparkly things" #36 challenge - butterfly
Pratical Scrapper's - use something you have had for over a year- pattern paper

That's a record for me. I rarely meet 2 challenges on one card so this is by far a huge accomplishment. Whew!
Happy Monday!

Fabulous You and winner of Cutting Cafe's Beautiful Blooms

A huge thank you to all that left me a comment to win the new Beautiful Blooms set from The Cutting Cafe this week. As promised, I am back with a winner drawn via my darling daughter. I wrote all the names on slips of paper and had her draw one from a basket.
It gave me an excuse to get a picture of her. Which she so rarely lets me do anymore happily. So the winner is......

Debbi!

I also wanted to share a card I made with my gcd Studios Melody Ross collection. I used CardPatterns sketch#56 and The Shabby Tea Room's "Spring Inspired - with stitching" challenge.

The left panel of the card is covered with pattern paper to hide the stitching. I thought it looked a little odd with nothing on the right so I added "you", a decorative border, and bling to complete.

Thanks for coming by!

Recycled crayon box to a fun gift card holder

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a terrific Tuesday! Yesterday I scored some crayon boxes from school and I couldn't wait to repurpose them. Last night I had a little time to spare and created this using some My Mind's Eye Love Me Do papers and die cut:

I thought it would be cute to place a gift card inside.
I used 2S4Y's sketch which one of the super talented owners, Laura has a fabulous sample you need to see! It's really cute!

Okay off to work I go! Happy Tuesday!

Beautiful Blooms Give A Way!

Happy Spring! I hope you are having a glorious day filled with sunshine like we are in Virginia. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of blooming flowers and chirping birds. Every year the birds seem to like my wreaths hanging on my front or back porch so much that they make a nest. It's a wonderful development to watch, but not being able to use the front door becomes a hindrance. This year, I am trying to decide what to put out for my Spring decor. Right now my door is bare. I have been searching but I have not found anything I really like. I was thinking of making my own wreath with a few birds. Just need to find some that will be durable for outside elements. Not sure they make those?
But onto my card I made using the latest Cutting Cafe file: Beautiful Blooms. This a HUGE set with digital images and greetings. I created this card using 3 items from the set: a flower, vase, and sentiment.

Regina has created several lovely cards with this file so be sure to visit her blog! Also, I am delighted to offer this HUGE set to a lucky winner! All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post no later than March 24th by 12 PM EST and you will be entered to win. I will draw a random name from the comments and post a winner on March 25th. Thanks for coming by!

Always Remember

"Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. -Christopher Robin to Pooh

and so I must remember this myself. Oh how this quote warms my heart and reminds me to find that strength.

A card I made using CardPattern's sketch #55. I incoporated lots of dots/spots for the Crafty Creations #59 challenge and Creative Card Crew #46 challenge.

I used Scenic Route papers that Nicole sent me for Creatively-Green, The Cutting Cafe' Everyday Sentiments 2 digital greeting, Jo-Ann's ribbon, Heidi Swapp bling, and a special flower from the sweet Yvonne Yam.

Gotta wrap this one up quickly. Have a great evening!

Happy St. Patrick's Day all!

What a beautiful day it is! Reached a high of 68 degrees! Oh how this weather makes me happy. :-)
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day at school today with lots of fun activities and of course food. Lucky Charms to be exact. The kids liked counting all their marshmallows and shaped cereal. A great Math exercise.
Today I have no St. Patty's card, but I do have one for the Spring which appears to be knocking at our door currently. Yeah!

I based my card off of Kazan's #48 for 2S4Y this week. I bought some funky fabric swatches last night and wanted to try them on a card. I like the vibrant colors. For this card base I used a K & Co. recycled pink cardstock for the base, cut a piece of fabric with pinking shears and mounted it on the card base. I added a strip of brown Bazzill scallop to separate the pattern and ground the center with the flower and Cutting Cafe Everyday Greetings 2 sentiment. Of course I put a little bling because I am addicted to rhinestones.

Okay I need to skedaddle. My daughter has a chorus concert this evening. I can't wait to hear her sing. Thanks for stopping by!

Rainy Saturday

Happy Saturday to you! It's raining here in Virginia but that's okay because we had 4 days of glorious sunshine and warm temps. It has to rain every now and then. I am kind glad it's dreary out because I can hole up at home and create.
I have one card I can share today. My other projects I can't reveal yet but very soon. :-)

Okay so my card I am sharing is based on ICS sketch #57 using OCC's color challenge of yellow, green, pink, and brown.

Supplies: cardstock Coredinations; pattern paper: American Crafts; digital sentiment: The Cutting Cafe' Everyday Greetings Set 2; pearls: Kaiser Craft

Okay, off to create some more! Thanks for stopping by!

Wow!

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic week thus far. We had some sunny days with warm temperatures which was so nice! I was ready to break outNumbered List the sandals and paint my my toenails. Unfortunately, we are do for lots of rain the next few days. Oh well. Something is better than nothing.

I am hopelessly addicted to The Cutting Cafe' files Regina creates. I love using the greetings, cut files, card templates, etc. and right now Regina is looking for a 3-4 gals for The Cutting Cafe' design team. She's a great lady to work with along with the entire team! Click the link above and check out all the details on how to become a part of the design team. I love the ability to print the greetings at home on any paper I choose and never having to worry about an ink smear or not getting the sentiment straight. I hope you will consider joining our fabulous team. Don't say I didn't warn you though on how addictive it is. :-)

Also, this week The Cutting Cafe' is sponsoring 2S4Y this week! Have you seen the newest sets? I can't wait to use the Everyday Greetings Set 2. It has 20 assorted greetings.

I know I have said it before, but aren't these sayings fun? I adore them! My card for Laura's sketch uses Everyday Greetings which also has 20 assorted greetings. Lots of fun sentiments!

Supplies: cardstock: The Paper Co. kraft, Coredinations turquoise, Prism brick red, and Creatively-Green Yukon; pattern paper: Making Memories Vintage Findings and Target Valentine's day; stamps: The Cutting Cafe' Everyday Greetings, heart Michael's; rhinestones: Darice; ink: Brilliance Graphite Black

Finally, I have wonderful news to share! I was selected as a Spot Light gal for gcd Studios! Oh was I ever surprised. I read online that there 562 applications for the new design team. I may not be on the design team but being selected as a Spot Light gal is a big deal to me. Look for projects featuring gcd products in the near future. :-)

Quick Post

Still not feeling well so a quick post today.

Card based on CPS 156 sketch:

I used Rain Rain Go Away from The Cutting Cafe for my sentiment. I like this set because it reminds me of childhood days jumping in puddles and singing this song repeatedly to try and make the rain stop.

I hand cut the umbrella and inked the edges with a baby blue ink pad to give some color and then applied with a pop dot to meet the Crafty Creations Challenge #56. I also made the handle myself from kraft cardstock. A fun card to make.

Supplies: cardstock: The Paper Co. kraft and Stampin' Up Bashful Blue; pattern paper: Reminisce; digital sentiment: The Cutting Cafe Rain Rain Go Away; rhinestones: Queen & Co. blue; ink: Stampin' Up Bashful Blue; button: Recollections
