A shabby birthday wish

Hey there!  Hope you are having a blessed day!  A quick post for me today.

I used kraft card stock with a few scrap print papers.  I stamped the wood grain banners, cut them out, and then inked the edges.  I added a purple twine and attached to the floral print panel with pop dots.  The scallop, red stripe, and sentient are from SRM Stickers.  I stitched a small chevron piece I cut from the print.  The challenge at Sentimental Sundays is to use paint so I pulled my white paint dauber put and inked the edges to complete.
Hope you like!

Miss You

Another glorious Monday for me and I hope wherever you may be too!  I have a card to share with you for Paper Playtime's newest challenge.  Every third week we  feature cards with a stamped sentiment.   This week we are looking for "Miss You" cards.  Our sponsor is The Robin's Nest so I incorporated some dew drops on my card.
This was my first time using CTMH papers and  twine.  I will say they are very nice.  I like the texture and weight of them.  I pulled out my House of Three (so sorry they are now defunct) stamps for my stamped sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!

Explore The Great Outdoors Mini for SRM Stickers

I am so happy to have this mini completed! I really struggled with what book to use and ordered lots of Instagram prints but they take 3 weeks to complete so I downloaded via 4share and printed myself. I love taking photos with my cellphone camera and really like the settings the Instagram app offers. My daughter and I went for a mini hike in the national park that is connected with my neighborhood. We are so fortunate to have acres of beautiful fields, streams, and trees in our backyard. The county put in gravel trails and lots of people come to ride their horses and walk their dogs. We took this walk on a Sunday night after dinner and a few photos capture the sun setting in the west. She even spotted a box turtle while  on our walk.
For the cover I kept it simple. I accented with a metal leaf and a little compass. Inside I used the Explore and Outdoor sticker sheets to accent my photos and paper.

Supplies used:

Say It Stickers #39045 Explore
Express Yourself #42030 Outdoors
Echo Park Country Days paper
Maya Road Play Chipboard album
various embellishments

Sweet 16 Party

Happy July everyone! ***Update!*** I had to remove this because I just got a submission request.  I apologize but it will be back soon!   A quick post for me.  I seem to be lazy posting these days.  I guess with temps in the high 90's, I am unmotivated to do much but keep cool.   I finally made a mini for my daughter's sweet 16.  I used Pretty Little Studio papers with contact sheet photos.  It was my first time using their digital products and  I really liked them.  They have a color challenge and I did my best to apply it.

I sewed two flashcards together to make the pages sturdy and kept the embellishments to a min.  The magic number seemed to be three since I put three items on each page.  There are five pages but lost my light source so sharing these three for now.

Holy Cow it's Sunday!

Hey everyone!  I hope you are having a blessed day where ever you may be.  I am going to share with you my Sentimental Sundays card and then need to head out and start my day.
This is my pink holy cow from Bugaboo Stamps.    I went whimsical this week.  Our challenge is BINGO    and I chose to use kraft paper, pearls, and twine.
I used My Mind's Eye papers with a SU pink card stock.  I colored in the cow with a Copic and then used Stickles for her halo, wings, and clouds.  A piece of sand colored twine is wrapped around my doily border which is a Martha Stewart punch.  I cut a hexagon in half to make my tab on the right, stapled it and added three pearls.  I hope you like and come join us!
