Thanks

and my card for this week's Crafty Challenges which is "sparkle"themed.

used Webster's Pages pattern paper, a digi stamp from Jane's Doodles, a Pink Paislee stamp I found buried in my stamp box, Archival ink, sugar crystal glitter, a vintage button, and Bobbin Ribbon also buried deep in my ribbon organizer. Can you call this an organizer though? I put the spools that are too small to fit on my wooden dowels in here.

I will have to share how I store all my pieces with you soon.  I kinda made my own invention for this.  ;-)

Digi Monday with Mr. Crabs

Today I heard the television playing  the Spongebob Square Pants theme a minimum of 5 times.  It seems teenagers find the show as funny as kindergartners.  Hmm.  I have to  admit, this show has run longer than I anticipated.  Despite Patrick's constant stupidity which I find annoying at times, I like that Spongebob does have a love for all creatures great and small.  Mr. Crabs is my fave character and today's card is a .....

When I saw this image at the Bugaboo store, I immediately thought of Mr. Crabs.  At Paper Playtime, our digi Monday theme is red, white, and blue or your patriotic colors, so I worked a little magic to make it primarily these colors.  A few side colors but mostly the red, white, and blue.  ;-)

I used my favorite Scribble Scrabble paper of all time.  It's called, Very Cherry from the Evelyn collection and I am down to a mere 2 x3 piece sadly.  :-(  A single piece of this with a blue ribbon from American Crafts tied with a button and red baker's twine complete the card.  I did stitch around the image to give a little detail.  The stamp is from Stampendous
Challenges I would like to enter this card into:
Amber's Crafts and Stuff: #15 The Dog Days of Summer

Tea cup

Opps!  Where did the day get to?  I am sorry this is posting so late but totally forgot to share with you my card for Aud Sentiments today.  I am not sure how I forgot because I really like this card.  I think the summer days are getting to me.  Maybe it was yesterday's crazy run around?  Hmmm.  Anywho...

Our challenge is food/beverage and our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish.  I used this beautiful tea cup image which I colored in with my Copics.  I wanted it to have a vintage feel with a soft blue hue.  The papers are My Mind's Eye So Sophie collection.  I used a silk flower with some Martha Stewart pink seam binding for a feminine look.  The stamp is from SP & Company.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you will join in on the challenge.  :-)

Forever Friends: Spots & Dots
Everybody Art: #147 Anything Goes
Hooked on Craft: #1 Anything Goes (this is going to be a fave of mine!)

It's officially Summer!

Which means the 4th of July is just around the corner.  For me, this ensues memories of BB Q's, swimming, friends and family, and lots of red, white, and blue.
Today at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge we want you to embrace your red, white, and blue  by creating and  sharing  with us your card or project.    I was overjoyed when I saw these papers in my LSS by My Mind's Eye.  I bought what I thought I would use (plus a few) because holiday papers tend to sell out quickly.   I ♥ these papers and will share a few more projects I made with these shortly.  I think MME is my favorite manufacturer.  I tend to gravitate towards their items and always want to buy the entire collection.   This line, American Made does not have all the bell's and whistles (embellies) but that's okay because I bought every piece of paper available.  I used a Robyn's Fetish image, Liberty Bell, which I printed in black and left uncolored for a more dramatic look.  I wanted the papers colors to be prevalent and was worried if I colored the image it might be too distracting.  I stitched the top and bottom for a little texture.  I used a Karen Foster rub-on and then stamped the word "happy" with my Close To M Heart "Say It Style" set in Hero Arts black.  A touch and bling from Queen & Co. and I was done.  I hope you like!

Challenges I would like to enter my card into:
Creative Inspirations: #62 Stitching
Die Cut Dreams: #92 Red, White, an Blue

Wishing a fun filled day with lots happiness!

Make a Wish!

Happy Wednesday to you!  Hope you are having a great one where ever you may be.  I am going to pick up my daughter and spend a little quality time with her.  Yeah!
Over at Crafty Creations, the theme is Let It Shine and our sponsor, Wags' n Whiskers  gave us a few digis from the Princess collection to work with.  Here's my card for this week.

I used some sparkly on this card but it's not showy too well.  :-(  The stripe paper is Pink Paislee Sweetness.  The polka dot print is from Fancy Pants "Road Show" collection entitled; Fancy Pants.  The striped ribbon is American Crafts.  I used a Jo-Ann's rub-on from a birthday set.  The  pink rhinestones are Queen & Co. I had to pull my scallop border punch from EK Success out because it was feeling a bit neglected.  :-)   A friend sent me the sparkly button.  I used a white floss to tie in out.  The pom-pom trim is Wright's was purchased a while back.  The image is Ballerina Katie and you can find here.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar: Ribbons and Bows
Aly's Challenge: All About Kids
Card Making Mama's: #22 For a Child
Delightful Sketches: Anything Goes
Sew Many Cards: #57  Punch It!

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will join in a fun challenge or two!  ;-)

Sentimental Sundays Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sentimental Sundays “Celebrate Summer” blog hop. Tuesday, June 21st, is the official first day of summer in the northern hemisphere and we are ready for all the summer fun to begin. For our friends down under who are moving into their winter months and may not feel like creating a summery project, they may be making “Sparkly or Shimmery” projects. What girl doesn’t like her bling?

You should have arrived here from Janne . If you didn't arrive from her blog and would like to join in the hop, please start at the  Sentimental Sundays challenge blog.

We said a celebration so no celebration is completed without a cake IMO.  :-)  I wanted it be fun so I used a cupcake image from Jane's Doodles that I paper pieced.  I used Echo Park Summer Days papers.  I used red Stickles on the cherry and then added a piece of twine for the stem.
We hope you will join in our “Summery or Sparkly” (plus a sentiment) challenge this week. Our sponsor is the marvelous Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs . This prize will be four INDIVIDUAL sentiment sets from the Whimsy Stamps.

Your next stop on the hop is Ceal. If you should happen to get lost along the way, you can find the blog hop list over at the Sentimental Sundays challenge blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way because there are 3 mystery DT members who will each choose a winner from the comments left on their blog hop posts. The winners will each win a $10 gift certificate to Whimsy Stamps! The hop ends on Friday, June 24th at midnight EST. The winners will be announced on the Sentimental Sundays challenge blog on Sunday, June 26th. So, hop on over to the next stop and good luck!

A summer party

Happy Wednesday to you!  I am so happy to be back with a trusted router so I can access the Internet.  Whew!  It was touch-n- go and I finally caved and threw the old one out that we got at Christmas because it did not always want to work.  I think it got zapped during one of the storms we had.  Not saying I have not felt the same way.  Especially with age creeping up on me but... I want Internet access!  Now I can catch up!  :-)  Onto the party.  We have lots of Summer birthdays in my family.  Just celebrated my Dad's birthday at the top of the week.  Happy Birthday to you Dad!  He never reads this so not sure why I am putting this in.  Anyhow...

My Crafty Creations card for today is another mixture of bright colors and whimsical patterns to depict my Summer mood.  Yeah I am finally getting into the spirit!  Our theme is "dress up" and you can interpret that anyway you like.  I used Echo Park's Summer Days papers along with a Pattie's Creations digi, "Beach Pattieboop".  I so wish I was brave enough to wear a bikini to the beach.  This little cutie is colored in with Copics and popped up with foam dots for dimension.  I used some American Crafts ribbon, orange baker's twine,  and a vintage button.  The sentiment is a rub-on from Wordsworth.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Card Making Mama's: #22 With a Child/For a Child
Crafting For All Seasons: #3 Summer

For Fun Challenges: Summer

Daddy's Heartbeat

Hello there and hope you are having a fabulous Sunday!  It's been another busy weekend for my family as we celebrated my father's birthday and my niece's dance recital.  I have been swamped with lots of end of the year activities with school for myself and my daughter.  It seems like one fun event after another.  I hate turning down invites but we had to sadly.  Can only be in so many places at a time.  With Summer officially here we are ready to embark on lots of adventures.  How about you?  Any trips planned?
Today I have my Sentimental Sundays card to share with you.  Our theme is Father's Day and I  stretched the idea a tad. I love this sentiment and my daughter is her father's heartbeat.  He truly adores her and lives for the moments they share together.  There's just something about a girl's heart always belonging to her daddy.  Back to my card, I used my last bit of Studio Calico's State Fair paper on this card.  I love that paper so with the wood grain side and then the large circle print.  I mixed in some American Crafts and Sassfras Lass papers for the smaller punched pieces.  The red hearts are Bazzill cinnamon red.  The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo's "Daddy's Heartbeat".  I used foam dots to pop up the sentiment a bit.  I also used two light blue brads from my craft supply to embellish.   was trying to keep it glitter/bling free.  :-)
Next week we are having a blog hop for Sentimental Sundays.  Please join us as the designers will have lots of "shimmery/summery" cards to share with you and prizes plentiful!  A plethora of ideas await you as you hop along and see their fabulous creations.

Diggin' Summer

I have been a bad blogger.  I was a little swamped at home so forgive me please.  I am back to share a fun shaped card for the start of summer.  The weather here sure feels like it's summer with temps hitting in upper 90's.  My time of the year.  :-)

Okay so the Aud Sentiments Challenge #30 is for a "summer" themed card and the sponsor is Revi Devi.  I took a digital image (spade)and sized it to 4x6.  It was really easy to paper piece this since the image is simple and the lines are bold.  It requires you to print the image three times so maybe a touch of patience is needed.  I created the sentiment myself on Word.  A little pun if you will.  ;-)

This card uses Fancy Pants,"Rusted Sun" papers.  I recycled some packing material which I painted the edges with suede acrylic paint to give a softer appearance.  I also used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Old Paper" for a light distressing.  The white chipboard is glittered but does not show as brilliant as I would prefer but...  and two small red brads hold it to the corrugated cardboard.  That's it.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar: #155 Here Comes Summer
Craft Room Challenge: #1 Anything Goes **Congrats to this new challenge blog!**
Craft Your Passion: Anything Goes
Crazy Amigo Challenge: Summery  (Love the sample for this challenge-CAS and fabulous!)

Papertake Weekly: Anything goes

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a blessed day!

Be Happy Hamster

Hey there! The temps are finally falling for us a tad.  Yeah!  The wind is blowing which means I am headed to the garage to finish getting ready for the big yard sale this week.  Oh joy!  Today I have a cutesy card to share for Crafty Creations design team. Our theme is pink and orange.   We are sponsored by 2 Cute Rubber Stamps this week.  And cute these stamps are!
I had to get a quick snap of this photo and took it on my desk.  I am not sure it was the best lighting but I was in a bind.  But unto the deets about this card.
I used Bo-Bunny and Creative Imaginations pattern papers, paired with some Michael's orange and white ribbon, and some Martha Stewart hot pink glitter for the hula hoop and her tiny nose.  I used Copics to color in.   A few rhinestones to accent and voila!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Color Throwdown: #44 Using these colors
