Birthday Greetings For Her and Him

Hi there!   I am so elated because it's my first post for Vintage Street Market!  I have two cards to share with you today using some fabulous VSM product of course!  I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand so I focused on this theme for today's post.  Can you ever have too many birthday cards?
The first is this sweet birthday card for a girl.
I embossed Fancy Foil from Paper Sheets & Tags  "Dimestore Vogue"  to add texture. I love the shine on this and it was so easy to emboss!  The sweet little doll journal tag and yellow/purple plaid pennant  are from the Family Fun Paper Kit.  I added Tinted Tape "Numbers" to the top and bottom of the card and let me say this tape is way fun and also quite addictive to work with!  It leaves smooth edges!  Finally I added a bow and a ticket using  Brown Twirly Twine  .  The tickets are card stock weight and a cinch to trim!  I love that they are thicker material and don't bend easily.
My next card is for a boy.
I used the Paper Sheets Tags & Tags "Party Games" yellow crepe paper which I sewed around and then carefully tore some edges  for a distressed look.  This is so simple to sew on and the crepe paper will tear to your seam.  Trust me, I am a beginner sewer so you can do this!  I trimmed  the little boy on his bike journal tag  from the Family Fun Paper Kit.  Isn't that the cutest image of him carrying his school satchel with his dog running along side him!  I punched four circles using the Captain Johnny print from Family Fun Paper Kit and sewed them together to create a banner.  The red ticket is from Paper Sheets & Tags "Dimestore Vogue".  I also added a tiny strip of the "Aged Soot" Tinted Tape.  I told you it's addictive!
That's it for me today!  Thank you for stopping by!
