Happy Wednesday people! With ♥ day over it's time for me to focus on future events like graduations. Thankfully I still have a few years left till mine graduate but I have lots of friends with seniors. I am already stressed about the possibility of SAT scores, colleges, and general anxiety of DD flying the coop. Her father said maybe we should convince her to commute to the same university I attended nearby? I said push that baby out of the nest and let her fly! Okay, not really. But I do want her to have the experience of living on her own as scary as it might be. We have spent countless hours in social groups, doctor's visits, individual educational progress reports, occupational therapy, physical therapy, sensory motor skills development, nutritional therapists, allergy specialists, a vision educator, and ABA specialists to help our daughter with Aspergers eventually need less assistance in everyday life. I want to so badly believe it was all worth it. I certainly will never give up on her and can envision myself being that same Mom in
"Love You Forever" climbing through the window and rocking her sweet child to sleep each night saying,"
I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be." This book still gets me choked up.
Now onto my card.
A simple one! It's a few scraps paired with a
Stitchy Bear Digital Stamp for
Penny's challenge this week. I added a
SRM Sticker for the sentiment, a brad to the hat, and stitched the pattern paper/black panel to the card base and it was done! Easy enough!
Thanks for stopping by!

This is amazing Amy ... I love the elegance of the colours ... so lovely
I know just what you're talking about Amy, with the whole "flying the coop" thing. It's so scary and nerve-wracking, and exciting, too. My son is a junior.......just signed him up for SATs. Just cannot believe how quickly the time goes. And that book still gets to me, too. :)
Your card is beautiful! I love the classic black and white scheme for graduation and love the stitching you added. Fabulous digi image and coloring. Just the simple brad on that cap is the perfect touch.
I just love your thoughts in this post. Having four that have left home and one more who is a junior I can relate. Love your fab card, too.
