Recycled goodness

Today I did a repurposing/recycling of my cereal box to create a gift bag. I used the ICS sketch for the front. This week Tricia Gordon made the sketch and it is a great one! It has fun angles and curves. The DT have some wonderful examples so be sure to visit the blog and check it out.

Here's the box I started with:

I cut it in half and then covered with paper. I painted the inside with red paint and around the edges. Next I added the burlap, felt apple, and apple pattern paper. I stamped a tag from craft cardstock and attached 4 eyelets to make the bag's handles. I tied the handles with ric rac and used twine for the tag. Tada...

Here is a better view of it hanging on a door knob.

Supplies: cereal box; cardstock: The Paper Co.; pattern paper: Reminisce; stamp: Stampin' Up; ink: Archival Sepia; ric rac: Wright's green; eyelets, burlap, felt, and twine: craft supply; other: red paint

Thank you for visiting!
