Paper Crafts Gourmet
It's almost ready! The new Paper Crafts Gourmet is available for pre-order on the CK site. It is loaded with fun recipes and projects. Here is one tasty recipe and project from Alisa Bangerter courtesy of Paper Crafts.
My daughter loves biscuits so I am definitely going to be making these for her!
Yummy! Don't they look delicious?
Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits
By: Alisa Bangerter
This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.
INGREDIENTS
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 1/4 c. milk
Chives (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.
This is a cute little tag she made. Below are the supplies and instructions.

Vintage Pink Christmas Swap Questions Answered
Here are the questions for my Vintage Pink Christmas Swap.
1. What is your favorite Christmas decoration? Oh no! Has to be vintage mercury ornaments in gold and red
2. What colors/themes do you decorate for Christmas? I have a red, white, and green french country tree in living room. In family room I have a skinny tree with white wooden angels, grapevine wreaths, white birds, well everything is white. :-)
3. What Christmas item would you love to have? Vintage paper ornaments in reds and golds. Pretty much love anything in red that is french country.
4. Favorite goodie & hot drink?Old fashioned gingerbread hot from the oven and Hazelnut coffee. Love Hob Nob Pinot Noir wine also!
5. Are you a crafter? If so what crafts do you do? I am a papercrafter. Love to make cards, alter items, and make scrap pages/albums.
6. What is your favorite pink item in your home? My Horizon of Hope baskets
7. What do you collect? Currently, hmm. Coach purses? No, I am not collecting anything any longer because running out of space!
8. Do you have special family traditions for the holidays? Yes, we decorate the tree together listening to Christmas music, bake cookies, always go to parent's house Christmas Eve, open one gift Christmas Eve, and try to help others out that are less fortunate.
I have a tween daughter.

What will you choose?
Psalm 143:8 (NIV)
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
I awoke today in complete darkness. I went to the window to watch the sunrise rise over the tree tops and I thought God has given me another day. It is my choice what I choose to do with it. I can throw it away or use it. I can share with everyone my love for God and what he has to offer or not. What will I choose to do?
Eventually I will cease to be, but today is not that day. So I must throw myself into the flow of life and give forth all I have to another day. Why you ask? Because somewhere, someone is mourning the loss of a loved one, wishing for one more day, and yet it can never be.
I am grateful to God for the life he has given me. I know God exists because he has given me my precious daughter. He entrusted me with her and I can't throw away my days because I am not able to rescue myself from my worries of everyday life. I must trust in the Lord and remain faithful even if a quick answer is not given. I know he will guide me in the right direction.
Finally, what I created below is with much sadness.
My dear friend your father was a wonderful person who never wavered in his belief or love for God. He is embraced by the Lord now. His laugh, smile, and kind words will be greatly missed. God bless William E. Carper.

A thumping bore Friday
Thumping bore is nice once in a while. You can't always have a jazzy life. That's fine by me as long as I have my family near. J and I are going to enjoy our weekend and do whatever we may. :-)
Today I made an ATC for the EmbellishedFriday Night Live Challenge:
This ATC uses Webster's Pages, Royal Rub-On's, and pink organdy ribbon.
Wishing you a fantastic Friday!

Oh joy! Happy Thursday after a whacked Wednesday!
Well, today seems to have gone better than yesterday. Thank goodness! I had a peculiar Wednesday. I kinda figured it could not get too more Seuss like. If so, I was bound and determined to write a children's book about it. LOL! Simon and I discussed this. He likes to draw and I like to write, hence a a great pairing. Another sign we were meant to be together. ;-) Where's my pineapple Simon?
I did receive some fabulous news! I am on the shortlist for a potential card designer position at the Embellished site! I was on the phone with Simon when I read this news and he was discussing how someone was throwing a temper tantrum for a USB port. I was jumping all over the living room, dining room, kitchen, silently as he was venting. It's hard when he is having a bad day and mine is going so well. Of course, yesterday he was supporting me. I wish each of you could know how empathic he is. He apologizes for other's people actions often.
I want to share my two final cards from a challenge to make four cards on the Paperpopsicles site. I did my Easter and birthday card.
The Easter card uses My Mind's Eye Laundry Line patterned paper, Sandylion paper image, Prima flowers, SU Creamy Caramel ink, Kaiser Rhinestones, and Hallmark twill.
The party girl card uses: October Afternoon Hometown paper, die cut, Daisy d's rub on, Kaiser Rhinestone, and DMC floss.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Thursday!

Mondays are for relaxing??
Tracie sent me a picture from the wine tasting party and well... it looks like Simon is not happy. Not sure because conveyed differently. Hmmm.
Another weekend went by quickly. My fave day is here, Monday! Because there are new challenges! I mean lots! Just got off the phone with Frankie from MMFY and Scor It has offered up a great prize for the blog. Show off your folding skills with this challenge to win a mini Scor It with tote!
Check the blog out for more details.
Also, 2S4Y always offers a weekly sketch on Monday and it's Kazan's this week. Already the DT has incredible cards to share with you on the site. Completely amazing! Once again, humbling myself to try and throw my contribution in the group. Can't help myself. :-)

So many good things
We tried 12 different Pinot Noirs and the winner was..... Hob Nob! My favorite. Simon and I had a great time meeting new friends and catching up with old friends. Always have a good time at their events. We were the last group of people to leave.
This morning Simon woke up and fixed me breakfast. Yummy! He's so sweet! We had mimosas, eggs, potatoes, and toast. He was really bubbly this AM. It was cute to hear him call for me to come and eat. He had it under control. Bless his heart. He is such a great man!
At MMFY, the monthly card sketch is up and here is my take:
It's a fun sketch. Click on the link and join the site if you aren't a member already. There are many games,RAKS,contests, challenges, and general inspiration at the site. It's a great group of ladies on the site!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Saturdays are for Pinot Noir and saying Thanks!
Just a quick post today. Simon and I are going to a friends house for a Pinot Noir wine tasting. They have an annual wine tasting at their compound (huge house with pool, guest house, party barn, wine making facilities,) and everyone brings a wine to blind taste test. Tracie is an awesome cook! So is Jorge! They are fabulous hosts and we always look forward to going. Even better, I will see Terresa there. It's been a while. Since April when we went to New Orleans. Whew! Anyhow, working on some new things but trying to make some fast cards. Is that possible?
My wonderful friend Pam sent me a huge package this week! Oh my goodness! She made an entire book for Jacquelynn. All I have to do is add photos. I was so tickled and so was J. Pam you are so talented! You gotta start sharing your work with magazines! They will scoop your art up. She also sent me a cute band-aid tin to alter with a whole bunch of Halloween paper, embellies, stickers, etc. I mean it was packed! I am sharing a few cards I made below with the items she sent me. Love that paper. You have to tell me who makes it Pam! I am going to get the tin altered next week and will share. Also want to get shots of the book she made J. It's so perfect for her! Pink and all. ;-) Thank you so much Pam!

Another fever day
This fever is relentless! It just keeps coming back. I feel so bad for DD. She is doing better but can't kick that fever.
Not much time around here to create. Hopefully tomorrow will be a fever free day.
Card below is for challenge I mentioned yesterday at Paperpopsicles. I used some older Flair paper I found in my paper stash. I can still recall when I bought this paper. I loved the vintage feel to it.
Okay, that's it for me today/tonight.

Sickness looms
in my household. DD has been very sick the last 2 days. Not a lot of time to work on anything except, laundry and dishes. I have been trying to get her fever down. At high was 104.4. It finally dropped but peaks again and then plummets. I did call the doctor and tomorrow we will go to see her. DD is not happy. I was hoping it would not happen, but temperature is still there. :-(
New sketch is up at 2S4Y and I had to do it. Especially since MMFY is sponsoring!
Thanks for coming by to see my blog! I appreciate it!

I'm back and it's WCMD!
Wow! Amazing how being away for six days without a computer leaves one in the dark! I was frantically trying to get my DT work for MMFY uploaded on the site, catch up on emails, update resume for a quick job interview, and of course see my DD!
We made it to Jamaica with no police station visits(just a roadblock-routine stop with your usual automatic weapons), no cell phone's held hostage, and no luggage debacle (except on the way home). All in all, pretty good for Simon and I. Seeing as every time we travel we have some dilemma.
We did have a very interesting conversation with a young lady at the resort that seemed fixated on getting stretch marks removed. Despite the fact that Simon and I never declared ourselves as cosmetology specialists, she quizzed us on procedures, creams, etc. LOL! I was like honey, once they are there, not much you can do.
Best moment was a fellow from England ordered a few drinks and I asked Simon where his accent originated. He said Australia. I of course challenged this and he was wrong! Bah aha ha ha! He was from Birmingham. Simon sounded like a southerner in the states compared to him. It was pretty funny to hear them exchange words. The fellow totally belittled Simon for being from Sheffield and then on me for drinking a Mojito. Hmmm. Seems the Brits think this is proper conversation.
Anyhow...wanted to share this picture with you of Simon and I on our last night there. We finally look a little tan in it. :-)
and on to WCMD! Yeah finally here and there are tons of sites offering challenges and prizes, but not me. Nope, not a blog candy roller. Sorry! I do eye candy but no touching! Ha ha!
Here's a few things from DT work at MMFY this month which features the Making Memories Passport line.

This is an altered index card mini album I made to put some of pictures in from Jamaica:
