Frankie from MMFY has selected a card I made for the July ezine! You have to check the site out! I am really enjoying all the wonderful people I have met there. There's many threads to read with loads of information to expand your knowledge. Plus challenges! I love challenges! So click the link and check it out!
I did make something today! I was inspired by a swap idea. Below is Becky the Bridezilla. She is a little monster who resides in this altered tin. She is dressed for her big day.
Becky likes: coordinating weddings, bling bling, the color yellow, presents, eating cake, pedicures, manicures, and being the center of attention.
Becky dislikes: Rainy days, the chicken dance, ugly toenails, gaining weight, acne, stinky people, and being second fiddle.

I'm a
You Are an Apple |
You have enough strength to help those around you in trouble. You are adventurous and charming. Many people are drawn to you. You love life, and you enjoy traveling the world. You enjoy fine food, art, and culture. People have accused you of being a snob, but that's not accurate. You do enjoy the best things in life. Unlike snobs, you truly appreciate quality... not just pretend to. |

Hmm- choices, choices, choices
First let me scream- Happy Friday! Yahoo! Choices. The choices we make may not always be the best ones but just know you have to live with what you decide. Okay, I had some choices to make when I got home from work. Such as cut the grass, watch a movie, or open my bottle of Hob Nob Pinot Noir. Now, I was seriously head diving at my desk today. Just could not stay focused or awake for that matter. It seems I am forever multitasking. Who doesn't these days? I thought that the best choice would be for me to kill to birds with one stone. I selected to open that bottle of pinot and watch a movie. Clearly cutting the grass and drinking wine would not mix too well. Besides, drinking pinot from a wine glass would not be possible while pushing a mower and a squirt bottle was not an option. Also, it's never wise to mix alcohol and motorized equipment.
I fell asleep after a glass and now my lawn awaits me. The choice I made. Here's my grass currently. I kinda like the flowers growing. Albeit my neighbors do not. Oh well. There's always tomorrow. I have one card to share. It's a stamp I bought years ago and had actually forgotten about. I used vintage lace on this card and a sheet of music that Jessi (thank you!) sent me. The rub on is 7 Gypsies. Thanks for popping in today. I know that was a long rant.

Jewels of the Sea Swap
I have the pendants wrapped and ready to go. I could not get a detailed picture but in general you can see what I created. I have never made pendants before so this was my first attempt. I learned a few things though about Diamond Glaze. :-) Anyhow, the first picture shows them wrapped up and ready to go and then second, well you'll figure it out. ;-)

trying to catch up on challenges
I completed CPS #70 sketch challenge! Yahoo! I used MAMBI renee paper, Melissa Frances pink heart chipboard, MM white letter stickers, and doodlebug button. Thanks for looking!
So many things to share!
Well, I went to the convention and did not spend much. It was amazing. Actually, I had a great time as I met Melissa Frances! She was so incredibly kind and warm hearted. We chatted for a bit and she introduced me to her daughter and husband. She is now cancer free and excited to have the last minor surgery to remove the port line in her chest. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to meet her! That by far was the best part of the convention. I did take a mini book class by MAMBI that was alright. I have difficultly following directions. AKA-I did somethings my own way. It was odd to me that people were frantic with worry about not duplicating the sample book exactly as the instructor has done so. I think this is why I don't go to classes. I don't want my book to be precisely the same as everyone else's. I do papercrafts because it allows me to be creative. Just assembling stuff is not as creative to me. But alas, that is me. Anyhow, I was happy to meet Melissa and she had all her products at half off! It was older lines but who cares?
Pam sent me a fabulous MMM that I received last Friday. It was loaded with more amazing items she created and product for me to try out. :-) Look at that cute recipe book and fire cracker she made! She filled it with the items in the next picture. She truly is the best! I wanted to share with everyone. When the weather lightens up I am going to try and get pictures of the mini book I made in class and one using the Rusty Pickle bottle rockets line. Oh I love their stuff!
Thanks for dropping by and happy Monday!

What happened to Rebecca Sower?
I am still full of energy so I have a few pieces to share with you. The temperature has dropped in our area and we had a beautiful 85 degrees today! It was windy when I left work but it felt very nice. So happy when the weather is this delightful! I am trying to fight the urge to buy new paper. I am attending the Great American Scrapbook Convention on Friday and I know my wallet will be burning hot there. As much as I try and persuade myself to use what I have, it's really hard when you see the new products and most people are using them. Yesterday's card had a flashback four years (or more) with the Rebecca Sower coin ties. I liked her line but it's sadly gone.
I googled her and found she does have a blog:http://rebeccasowertypepad.com/. She has some gorgeous art in different mediums. I love the hankie shirt she put together! I highly recommend checking her site out. It's good to know she is still creating. She does have an Etsy store too. I have no affiliation to her, just really appreciate her creativity.
SO the first picture is a bird card I made with leftover papers. I am desperate to get that stack reduced before Friday. Which, kinda keeps me on track with the next picture. It's a box I made for my MM pal Pam. I have not overloaded it with bling yet. Temptation is there. I am stepping back and then will reassess. Thanks for visiting my site and I do read all comments. Thank you for taking the time to do so.

New Swap Working on
The paper swap seems like a neat one. I joined and have decided I will make these little books. They are Mod more than shabby but still flexible on the look. Check out the cover. I left it blank so others could fill it in as wanted. Sometimes having a designated page as the "happy sister" makes it too confining for me. Take a peek. I will add more items later to the inside pages.

Some swap goodies for me!
A few swaps came in that I was involved with. Happy Mail Day! :-)
The first picture is from the Not So Shabby Chic Swap.
My partner was Melissa Burford. She sent me these fantastic items! She made the bag, flower pens, the scented pebbles, and ponytail holders. She sent me a book that looks like a great read and some note cards. Thank you so very much! She sells the key chains so visit her site to see all her work.
The second picture is from my fabulous Monday Morning Mailer Partner Pam Herrick. She and I have been exchanging the last 5 months. She is a complete sweetheart and always sends me the best gifts! She sent me these cool albums which I adore. She made the picture block with our new favorite color combos (black and white). She finds the neatest new papers, embellishments, etc. Her work is fab! Thank you Pam!
Father's Day is almost here!
CPS has the new sketch up. Here's mine. My coloring skills are so not good. I rarely color in images. Can you tell? Anyhow, here's a couple of card's for a few father's I know.
Thanks for looking!

Jessica's Awesome Package to me!!!
I don't even know where to begin. I had a fantastic mail day! Jessica sent me the best package I could ever hope for. You have to check out all the goodies. I was in complete awe. Still am. She is fabulous! She went way over the top! Thank you thank you thank you! Wow! Her site has the photos as well.
I will post more pictures later. Dashboard seems to be down. :-( But do go check her site out!
Sketch This #53
This week Janelle Richmond has another wonderful layout! I just had to try it! :-) Here's the sketch and my take on the challenge.
Supplies for this card are Making Memories Black & White paper and chipboard strip, Bazzill Strawberry, Image is by katie & co., Sakura glaze pens, Stickles Diamond, Rub-On is American Crafts Mini Marks, Celebrate tab is ?? not sure, and then buttons and floss to embellish. I finally found my stash of needles and decided to get stitch happy. My sewing machine will not work on more than two layers of paper, so I had to hand stitch. Not perfect but like the effect. Thanks for looking!

Sometimes I'm not such a good girl ;-)
So today was another one of those crazy weather days with a Don John flying down the street and huge rain drops that pounded the outside environment. I kid you not when I type that the port a potty was tumbling down General Cook street. I stood on my front porch and watched it. The construction continues in my neighborhood so we are blessed with these fabulous blue houses for the workers. Now, I am all for these devices because the alternative would be unappealing. However, as recent tornado watches are issued these become a serious hazard. As I watched the blue block flipping over and over, I feared it could injure someone or their property. But then I started to think, whomever has the privilege of turning it upright and desiring to use it would probably be greeted with a terrible mess. Then my mind wandered and I thought whom would be willing to do this? After much consideration I determined it was something I would never want to face. Then I smiled that I do NOT have to do this and thus my title. Sometimes, I am not such a good girl.
But I did make this card. ;-) I used the DMD Shabby Chic paper, K & Co. paper flower, Wright's lace, and the "always" chipboard is Colorbok. I just like the light colors mixed together.
Also, I finally put all that unused coffee I make in the morning and never get to drink to use. I dyed file folders and made this tag book. It smells soooo goooood! I was going to send it to my MM buddy Pam, but then wondered what if she dislikes coffee? I used the DMD paper again and K & Co. diecuts. Also the little dots are light green rhinestones but they did not show on the picture. TFL!
