Pilgrim Thanks

Per wiki : a pilgrim (from the Latin peregrinus) is a traveller (literally one who has come from afar) who is on a journey to a holy place. Typically, this is a physical journeying (often on foot) to some place of special significance to the adherent of a particular religious belief system. In the spiritual literature of Christianity the concept of pilgrim and pilgrimage may refer to the experience of life in the world (considered as a period of exile) or to the inner path of the spiritual aspirant from a state of wretchedness to a state of beatitude.
We are talking about pilgrims this week in class and each year I seem to discover a new found fact.  For instance, a baby boy was born on the voyage and his name was Oceanus Hopkins.  I like learning tidbits like this.  It only seems fitting that I make a little boy pilgrim for this week's challenge at Penny's. 

This is a Digi My World image that I colored in with grey (do you remember my post about coloring the kitten?  enough said if you do!) with a monochromatic theme.  I pulled this gcd Studios paper out and thought, why not?  I then used a strip of DMC (?) dictionary print for the banner.  The  circle grid is Pink Paislee.  I tied a little brown jute around to finish off.  I used Making Memories glitter alphas paired with a Foo fa la rub-on.  I love this sheet I bought years ago and will be so sad when it is completely gone.
