Liberty and Union

In honor of the 4th of July celebration, a card I created using the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch by Laura. I kept it pretty simple and clean. Yep, I had to add a little glitter. :-) Martha's glitter is addictive.

Supplies: cardstock: The Paper Co. kraft, Bazzill navy blue and red; image: unknown; glitter: Martha Stewart Platinum; brad: Creative Imaginations; floss: Prism red; ribbon: Wright's navy blue

Cosmo Cricket Projects

I am loving the Snorkel line for Cosmo Cricket because it is so colorful with a vintage flair. Here's a card I made this week for The Pink Elephant's challenge (favorite color combination) using mostly Cosmo Cricket product with a touch of SEI and Bazzill. Okay, it's a lot of colors but the predominant colors are red, cream, and blue. I am liking this combination lately. :-)

But not stopping at the card. I made this fun little container from a cinnamon bun icing packaging. I just love how small it is! It has lots of possibilities for uses. My immediate thought was to house a mini album. Then my mind thought it would make a cute little tooth fairy box and yet then I thought, how cute would it be to hold a "finding" from digging in the dirt? I remember as a child my pockets held tiny rocks, flowers, a penny, etc. It was the best feeling finding a treasure! Anyhow, I hope you like this little treasure box.

2S4Y #29 Card Sketch

Hey all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and could celebrate with their father and family for the occasion. My family celebrated with a huge cook out, but we ate inside so not sure if that counts? Anyhow, my Dad grilled lots of yummy food that everyone enjoyed it! He marinated this chicken that was incredible! I put it on a bed lettuce with cucumber and some tzatziki to have chicken souvlaki. Pure heaven! It's terribly fattening but well worth it! Oh how I love summer!

The new 2S4Y is up and I was able to play along. Here it is:

Supplies:
carstock: The Paper Co. kraft; pattern paper: Cherry Arte Very Vintage; stamp: Inkadinkao; ink: Stampin' Up Old Olive; ribbon: craft supply;flowers: Marcella; brad: Making Memories; rhinestones: Jo-Ann's; staples: Wal mart; tools:EK Success fern punch

So that's 30 brand new Digiments from 6 different lines:

Birthday Expressions; Inspirations of Love and Simple Sentiments for $10!
********************

Again the design team has created some wonderful cards and projects to share with you so be sure to check them out at the site. What's really neat about it is the eclectic cards and gift items that are made. It showcases classy and simple to shabby and chic.
I must admit I tend to have a lot going on with my projects. Knowing when to say stop is not always easy. :-)

For my first project I used a Patriotism Digiment to create:

This is a paper mache heart that I covered with paper, lined the edges with crepe paper, and then distressed heavily.

A friend sent me this chipboard heart a while back. I knew the moment I saw the Inspirations of Love Digiments how I was going to use it.

I painted the covered the chipboard with papers and then used gray paint on the edges. I distressed the edges with a nail file and then glued glitter around to give a little sparkle. I cut the Digiment out and distressed it a little to give shape and color.

This item has a matching card which I shared earlier this week. Oh how I love Digiments because they are so easy to print out and use.
