Walking away

Long time no post huh? I know...I have been extremely bad about blogging. I was in a serious funk. I had no mojo. Then I thought I had some great ideas and I cut into a few new papers and POOF!!!! it was gone. So I walked away to do some serious thinking. I thought of abandoning this hobby of mine. I considered packing all my supplies up and donating them to a local shelter. I have read about others having this frame of mind and actually following through with the idea. I however, managed to regain some confidence and sat back down at the table to create.

What's amazing me to is I found myself with a simpler style. Not completely overdoing it to the nil degree. Not sure it will last. Not sure I really like the new style but it's a change and I am embracing it for now.

Enough of my ranting. On to a few cards I made.

First up is a card using beautiful turquoise Chatterbox papers. My friend, Pam sent these to and I knew what I was eager to use these. I used Card Pattern's #48 sketch.

Supplies: pattern paper: Chatterbox; stamp: unknown; pearls: Kaiser Craft; ink: Brilliance black; ribbon: Creatively-Green; glitter: Stickles frosted lace

This next card started out strictly for fun! But then I saw The Pink Elephant's #51 challenge to use, polka dots, bow and pink. Regina created the cutest little set entitled, "Rain Rain Go Away" for The Cutting Cafe and I fell in love with this boot image. Way too cute!
I just realized I need to get a close up image of the boots because I filled in the flowers with Stickles and it does not show the true sparkle in the photo. :-( Sorry. I will try and get to that ASAP!

Supplies: cardstock: Recollections white and black, digital image and sentiment: The Cutting Cafe'; print paper: Target dollar spot; polka dot ribbon and felt button: craft supply; glitter: Stickles red and green

Thanks for coming by!

These cards are beautiful and adorable, Amy! You're a very talented card maker and we all lose our mojo from time to time and it usually takes a break to get that back. I'm SO glad you didn't "walk away". We would miss you and your fabulous creations too much! ♥♥ Kay
