Hop(e)
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and my friend, Michelle came up with a brilliant idea to host a hop dedicated to this cause. All the participants are listed below as a hyperlink for you to check out their inspiring projects. But first I wanted to share one of my favorite organizations dedicated to finding a cure.
Susan G. Komen is a grassroots organization that assists survivors and supporters in the effort to cure breast cancer. You can help by taking action and joining the fight to help end breast cancer forever by visiting this site. Take the pledge to be an advocate and help raise awareness in your community.
A favorite manufacturer of mine is Melissa Frances who is a breast cancer survivor. She created a line entitled, 'Thankful" and a portion of the proceeds are donated to www.breastcancer.org. I picked this paper up at my LSS a short while ago and love the soft colors mixed with encouraging words and beautiful flowers. I knew the moment I signed up for this Hop(e) I was going to use these papers.

Sickness spreads
During the week I conjured up some energy and created three cards all for 2S4Y. I love Kazan's and Laura's sketches each week and have participated in most of them. The DT call has been announced on the blog and I thought I would try the sketches because they challenge me.
This is for Laura's sketch #37
Supplies: cardstock: The Paper co.; pattern paper and sticker: Bo Bunny; rub-on's Heidi Grace; pompom fringe: Wright's; rhinestone: Darice; other: Christmas tree from craft supply
The next two are for the DT call. I used The Cutting Cafe's Christmas Long Phrases for my sentiments. These are really versatile to use! There are many new designs so pop on over to see all the wonderful new files available!
Here's my take on Laura's sketch:
Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up; pattern paper: Bo Bunny; chipboard: Melissa Frances; lace paper: K & Co.; tag sentiment: The Cutting Cafe Christmas Long phrases stamp; ribbon: Wright's; button: Making Memories; floss: DMC
and my take on Kazan's sketch:
Also wanted to wish everyone trying out for the DT best of luck and know it will be difficult for Laura and Kazan to decide upon 4!

Sorry about the interruption
Okay but you are not here to read this. So let me get to the card sharing!
This is based on CardPatterns #37 sketch and The Pink Elephant's #36 Fall challenge
Supplies: cardstock: Recollections; pattern paper and stickers: Pink Paislee; rub-on: Creative Imaginations; flower: KaiserCraft; rhinestones: Michael's; twine: Darice; ribbon, leaf and button from craft supply
For Get Sketchy's #1o sketch
Supplies: cardstock: Recollections; pattern paper: Cosmo Cricket and Reminisce; stamp: Let's Get Jazzy;ink: Brilliance; ribbon: Michael's; glitter glue: Stickles; tulle and bell from craft supply
I discovered a new stamp company recently that I really love! Shirley's 2 Girls has really cool images and designs. SNR sent me an email announcing a digital day they were having last weekend and I popped over to check them out. They were offering a coffee cup and muffin image which I immediately printed off and began creating with. I made the the first card for the SNR digiday event and the second one is for the Thursday sketch which I won this week! Yeah!! I paper pieced the cup and muffin using Pink Paislee's Amber Road pattern papers to add some depth to the images.
Supplies: cardstock: Recollections; pattern paper: Pink Paislee; tag: Art Warehouse; jewels: Kaiser Craft; glitter glue: Stickles; alphabet sticker: Pink Paislee; other: punches Marvy and Fiskar's
Thanks for stopping by! I gotta run before Simon starts screaming for me to come help with unpacking the kitchen boxes. :-) Happy Sunday!

Having fun with Cutting Cafe' designs
I used the Fruit Greetings and Sweet Stuff stamps for these cards. I paper pieced the melon and the ice cream and added foam dots to give depth. I seem to be on a paper piecing kick these days. :-) I used lots of scrap paper and Martha Stewart ribbon which is so easy to work with.
I made this card using Get Sketchy's #8 sketch.

This card is based on Laura's sketch for 2S4Y.

You're Invited...
World Card Making Day is October 3rd and many sites are celebrating in a grand way. I am contributing to the party and will offer a a special prize card kit to a lucky winner on my blog. More details will be provided tomorrow right here on my blog on how to win.
But what's a party without an invite?
Sorry-removed for publication- be back soon!
I made this invite using lots of Making Memories papers and ephemera. I love the "Vintage Findings" collection with embellishments, tags, papers, and more. The pink "special event" ticket came from one of the smaller collections they offer along with the blue felt flower and pink sequins. I plan on giving this to my DD with a coupon for a pedicure. She loves getting her toenails painted. Even with colder weather approaching, a girl needs to have pretty toes I figure. :-) She's still wearing a bright lemon color on her big toes from the Summer and I think it's time to get a rich Fall color. I based my card on the latest sketch from CardPatterns. You must see the DT's creations! Each one has a unique style so it's a treat to see the sketch interpreted several ways. I love Saturdays because I know there is a new sketch with lots inspiration from the DT offered. Since Thursday is almost over, only two days away until the #35 sketch. :-)
