Update on Grandmother and Forever

I do have an update about my grandmother. She is too weak to operate on. Unfortunately this means she is being made comfortable as best as they can. Thank you for your prayers! It means so much to me.

Forever
Not a word I use a lot.  I know, it probably seems like a silly fear, but to me when you use that word it "jinxes" me.  When used in the past, it seems to have the reverse effect of forever. But tonight I am using this word from a Making Memories sticker that's been hanging around too long.
The evening came to fast for me and I found my picture was to be taken inside with an overhead light which never comes out too well.  :-(  I have to get this in though because it's for Card Patterns sketch # 86 and it ends tomorrow.
I used scraps from MME and Graphic 45 pattern papers which I sewed to the kraft base.  Then I misted a single blossom with Maya Mist and added a Kaisercraft pearl to the center.  I stamped a small swirl in black on the top and bottom and accented with some bling and tied a creamy satin ribbon around the card and finished with a black button and twine.  Pretty easy huh?  It always sounds like more than it seems at the time.  Sigh.  I am off to enjoy my Friday evening.  Hope you do too!

Amy, I do believe in the power of prayer. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, and will say a prayer for her tonight. Both of my grandmas mean the world to me. I too have a child with autism...a challenge and a blessing. Have a wonderful weekend. (lorijo2003 from SB blog swap)

Your card is lovely. The blue flower adds a bold pop of color and it's gorgeous! Your stitching is perfection and well...you know how I feel about that pretty satin ribbon. {wink}. Big hugs to you, sweetie! ♥♥ Kay

I hope they're successful at keeping your gramma comfortable. I really like the look of kraft paper. It's a really laid back backdrop that looks great dressed up. Very nice card. I'm visiting your blog for the bloggers swap. It's a very sweet blog.
