Just relax and win this digi!

Hey it's me again!  I know two posts in one day!  Oh my!  I am back with a paper pieced card for the Crafty Creations Challenge blog and a chance for you to win this digi!

It's from Jane's Doodles and you might be the lucky winner if you leave me a comment on this blog post.

This week Jenni (aka Cardmadfairy Digi Designs) is hosting and sponsoring our challenge.  She is the illustrator of some fabulous digi stamps which you can find here.  She has super reasonable prices for her images so hop on over and check them out.

My card for this week is a  big comfy chair using some Echo Park  "Lace Stripes"  paper from the For the Record collection.   I paper pieced the pillow and then added a button for the center.  I punched the blue print with my EK Success Open Scallop edger and added the floral strip.   The sentiment (Tomorrow is another day) is from the Echo Park "Noteworthy" piece.

Sometimes I have to tell myself that it's okay and tomorrow will be a new day.  A chance to refresh, revive, and relive life again with a clean slate.  It doesn't always work for my frame of mind but it is nice to know that I have another chance the following day.  I used to say this to my daughter when she was a little girl.  It was so frustrating at times for her because of her Autism.  She wanted consistency everyday and if it was not perfect, she would get extremely upset.  It took looks of soothing techniques to calm her but once it was over she happily went about life.  Those were the days I would hold her in my embrace for as long as she needed.  I will never forget those moments, nor her big brown eyes gazing up at me and asking if I still loved her.  "Always," I would say.  "Forever and ever I will love you."
Okay that got a little emotional for me.  Sorry for getting all gushy mushy on you.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Anita Be Stampin': Anything Goes
Make It Monday: Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly: Truly Dimensional
Woodware USA:  #22 Anything Goes

****Don't forget to leave a comment to win the digi! I will announce a winner next Wednesday on my blog! ***

Amy, I came back for the free digi as you suggested, but I got more.

Your memories with your daughter moved me to tears. Not sad ones now. Thank you for sharing that story with us. My 31 year old nephew is Autistic and has been living in a foster family for most of his life, as my sister was a single parent then and could not handle him. It tore her apart and in the end, she left us in 2005 from a tough battle with breast cancer.

I know this is alot of stuff I'm dishing out, but I don't believe you were too emotional about your daughter. She must be very proud of you for being the mom you are to her and sharing what you feel about her.

Kindly, Peggy

This is so good ... love it

Please Amy, never ever apologise for being a bit "mushy" and emotional about your daughter. You're a wonderful mother! I have a 21 year old nephew and he is diagnosed with Asperger ( Autism related) when he was 3 years old. I know a bit about Autism and your story touched my heart. Love it.

And your card too;)... especially that floral piece of paper.

Hugs,
Stella
