Monster Love for you!

Yeah it's Wednesday which means I only have a few days left of this week and then I can enjoy my weekend.  I love short weeks.  We had a day off school this week for teacher inservice.  I am biting my nails for the results of my daughter's mid-terms.  She reported back to me with much enthusiasm so far.  It really scares me when I ask her if she studied.  This is what happens: she opens a book, looks it over for 15 minutes and says she's done.  Then I have to remember she has a photographic memory and once she visualizes the material, it's in there.  A benefit of Autism?  Hmmm.  Some might argue, but I am proud of her ability to recall information when questioned.  Of course this does not apply to every area.  ;-)  I know we have reviewed how to unload the dishwasher a dozen times visually and physically, yet it magically is forgotten.  I love her so and wouldn't change a thing even if it meant I never had to put a away a dish again.  This to me is typical teenage life which I prayed for and the good Lord has answered  it so!  What's the phrase?  Be careful what you wish for?  LOL!
On to my card for today!  A little monster love for you for at Penny's this week.  Our theme is Love is in the Air.
He reminds me of a muppet.  A sweet muppet with those heart eyes and that big toothy grin!  My fave muppet was Animal so you can probably see why I like this fellow! Wondering who Animal is?

This guy just makes me smile! He's from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. One of of fabulous sponsors this week.

Okay but on to my card.  I colored then cut my image out.   I wanted him to be fun so I added Stickles glitter.    His eyes are paper pieced and popped up with foam dots.  I punched a small heart for his belly and added a little bling because he is dressed up to share his love.

The sentiment is trimmed from the WRMK's Love Struck pattern paper and attached with foam dots to the  printed word paper.  I did a lazy stitch around the edges because: 1. I don't know how to stitch a straight line and 2. I don't know how to adjust the tension on the machine.  I just totally sold myself out didn't I?  I guess, but I can say I tried and continue to try to sew when patience is high.  My goal is to buy a nice machine and really learn this art.  I distressed the lime green panel after sewing.  And that's it!  Sticking to this story and I hope you like!
